Trenching Project for Drainage Pipe Installation Along the Shanghai Metro

The Shanghai Construction Group (SCG), through SIMEX’s importer in China, ATE, used the TF850 milling machine for trenching work to install underground drainage pipes along the Shanghai metro.

Considering the sensitive nature of the area, SCG specified that the chosen equipment must:

Selectively break asphalt and concrete without creating pressure risks for metro facilities.
Produce ground material with a granularity suitable for immediate reuse on-site, without needing additional attachments or machinery to reduce its volume further.

Traditional breakers produce bulky and coarse debris, which incurs additional transportation and handling costs. The SIMEX TF milling machine provides significant economic benefits by allowing material to be reused directly on-site, eliminating the need to purchase and transport new backfill materials, such as sand or gravel, for trench refilling.
